Spirit Undergrondround Liberation Project is a Black-centered non profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. The Liberation Project is not just an organization; it's a living, breathing being where each root pillar interconnects, creating a beacon of compassion, healing, and collective liberation. We are a trailblazing force, moving toward a future liberated from the enduring shadows of historical trauma and systemic oppression within the Black community
We envision a future for Black people where we have access to the tools and practices to not only experience complete wholeness and resiliency living full, healthy lives embodying the wholeness of our humanity, but also where the systems that perpetuated our dis-ease are completely abolished.
Vision Statement
Our mission is to liberate Black people from all forms of anti-black racism, systemic violence, and the impacts of that trauma through contemplative practices and holistic mental health therapies.
Mission Statement
Rooted in abolitionist praxis and a healing justice framework, the Spirit Underground Liberation Project works to abolish our otherness and reclaim our humanity. Therefore, we are devoted to the holistic well-being, upliftment, and collective liberation of the Black community. We work to heal the traumas inflicted by centuries of slavery, segregation, and systemic oppression. We offer a variety of transformative contemplative practices and mental health therapy programs. We create supportive environments where individuals can recover from the psychological impacts of systemic racism and build emotional resilience for future generations. Through these therapeutic programs, we aim to dismantle barriers to mental health care, address intergenerational trauma, and foster a supportive community that values, honors, and celebrates Black lives, ensuring everyone has the support needed to thrive.
