Programs and Therapies Offered

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Meditation Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) therapy, originally designed for stress management, has become a holistic approach to treating various conditions, including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and immune disorders. MBSR combines mindfulness meditation and gentle yoga to enhance present-moment awareness, promoting mental and emotional well-being. Insight meditation or Vipassana, a key component of MBSR, involves observing thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment.

Yoga & Movement-Based Therapy

“Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga.” Among the yogic tools used therapeutically are asana (the physical postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and guided imagery.

Somatic-Based Therapy

Somatic therapy is a type of mental health counseling that focuses on the body-mind connection to promote holistic healing. It explores how the body expresses deeply painful experiences and applies mind-body healing techniques to aid in trauma recovery. Based on the idea that the body stores negative experiences, such as trauma, in somatic memory, somatic therapy uses techniques like breathwork, meditation, and physical exercises to release these stored emotions.

Musical Arts Therapy

Music therapies are designed to enhance a person's functioning and overall quality of life. Other benefits of using artistic mediums for therapy include improving mental health, decreasing symptoms of mental and physical illness, and enhancing the ability to recognize and cope with various symptoms. In our sanctuary of musical arts and sound medicine, sound healings, sound baths, and singing serve as powerful catalysts for transformation, utilizing vibrations to promote holistic healing and well-being.

Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Research

Science supports the benefits of pairing psychedelics with proven therapies for individuals diagnosed with depression, anxiety, or PTSD. By integrating psychedelics with therapeutic interventions, this approach harnesses the transformative potential of these substances to facilitate deep emotional and psychological healing. This holistic method not only addresses symptoms but also promotes profound personal growth and well-being, offering a comprehensive path to recovery and mental wellness.

Herbalism and Nutrition Therapy

Natural medicines rooted in herbs, plant-based remedies, and the wisdom of nature's pharmacy form the cornerstone of our commitment to holistic health. Emphasizing healthy food, naturopathic medicine, mindful eating, and herbalism, we integrate these elements to promote overall well-being and natural healing

Trauma/PTSD Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) are forms of talk therapy that focus on modifying negative thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses associated with psychological distress. These therapies promote holistic healing by addressing the mind-body connection, helping individuals transform their thought patterns and emotional well-being.

NVC/Compassionate Communication

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is an approach to enhancing communication, understanding, and connection rooted in the principles of nonviolence and humanistic psychology. NVC aims to foster empathy and understanding, thereby improving the overall quality of life. By promoting compassionate interactions, NVC supports relational and community healing, encouraging individuals to connect more deeply and resolve conflicts nonviolently, strengthening the bonds within communities and families.

Art-Based Therapy

Art therapy is a mental health practice that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative processes, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship. Creative arts such as painting, drawing, and sculpture serve as powerful forms of artistic expression, fostering healing and personal growth.

Nature-Based Therapy

Nature-based therapy, or ecotherapy, leverages the healing power of nature to improve mental and physical well-being. Activities like gardening, nature walks, and wilderness adventures connect individuals with the natural environment, reducing stress, anxiety, and depression while enhancing mood and cognitive function. Integrating nature-based therapy into mental health practices fosters holistic healing, resilience, emotional regulation, and overall quality of life.

Integrative Bodywork Therapy

Integrative bodywork and energy medicine bring together a range of therapeutic practices, including acupuncture, massage therapy, bodywork, and Reiki. These holistic approaches aim to balance the body's physical, emotional, and energetic systems. By integrating these practices, individuals can experience comprehensive healing that nurtures the body, mind, and spirit, fostering overall well-being and harmony.
